Kalakamu is Finnish for fishing buddy. Not a guide service or a lodge, just a friend who's been there and is taking you along for the ride.

Trout live in beautiful places, and we anglers don't mind that at all. Maybe you've dreamed of Patagonia or Norway, those places where the landscape makes you marvel and the trout eat dry flies for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You don't need a guide at your side every day, but you don't want to lose the week to a tangle of permits and guesswork either. The trip I wanted sat somewhere in between, and it didn't exist. So I built it.
Our trips follow a simple recipe: a cabin on the good water, a couple of guided days to learn the river, then time on your own terms. No itinerary bloat, no filler.
